Told in rhythmic, singable verse, the story invites children to participate—listening, predicting, and singing along. Kids love repetition and rhyme, and Froggie’s journey encourages exactly that joyful engagement.

Bright, lively illustrations bring the woodland setting to life, while Froggie’s silly moments and near-misses inspire giggles and warmth.

Froggie and the Lake

Many evenings, as the sun dips low over our Minnesota lake, we step outside with our family dog for a nightly stroll. That’s when Froggie appears. Sometimes on the dock, sometimes near the reeds, sometimes even on the driveway! But every time giving a cheerful little “ribbit” as if to say good night to everyone. Our dog thinks it’s a game and can’t decide whether to chase or greet him, and we all smile as Froggie hops along, keeping our evening routine full of surprises and a little bit of woodland magic straight out of the storybook.
