A Bit About Me...

One late night while holding my little boy, I wrote a poem called You Love Them Even More… and was inspired to one day take these moments and turn them into stories.

Born and raised on a Minnesota farm, I grew up surrounded by the outdoors and animals. It was never unusual to have a full collection of “pets” to care for—dogs, cats, horses, cows, chickens, sheep—each one shaping my love for nature and storytelling. Being outside, exploring, and imagining stories was my favorite thing to do.

Today, I live by a lake, surrounded by woods and wildlife, with my best friend Haven, a British Retriever. She’s never far from my side and has been a quiet companion through countless hours of writing and imagination.

I’m the proud mom of four amazing children who share my passion for the outdoors, reading, and curiosity about the world. They played a large role in shaping Froggie’s journey and the heart behind his adventures.

Professionally, I serve as a Sr. Vice President of Sales & Marketing for a custom manufacturing company, where creativity, connection, and storytelling are part of my daily work. I also serve as a board member for a Minnesota university’s Women in Leadership program, supporting women as they navigate thought leadership and inspire positive change.

A handwritten poem titled "You Love Them Even More..." on a torn, aged paper background. The poem reads: "One thing about holding this child, is that each step of the way, you simply cannot imagine loving them anymore than you do right now. Because I am bursting with love, loving as much as one is humanly capable of... ...and then you do — you love them even more!" In the lower right corner is a black-and-white photograph of a woman holding a baby, with three young children around her, taken indoors.

Becoming a children’s author…

For more than forty years, a little Froggie has hopped alongside me. He started as a bedtime lullaby I sang to my four children and before long, they were singing it right back to me.

Froggie became part of our family, and I knew one day he needed to hop right onto the pages of a book so he could be shared with a whole new generation of readers.

I’ve spent many years teaching Sunday School and coaching youth soccer, finding fun and energetic ways to help kids learn, laugh, and feel encouraged. Those experiences helped shape Froggie’s story. Its rhythm, its heart, and the little bit of quirkiness that makes Froggie who he is.

I hope Froggie’s adventures bring you smiles, giggles, and cozy reading moments with the people you love.

Fast facts about who I am and what drives my storytelling.

Deciding Characters

I come from a family full of creative minds! All four of my children helped me decide on the characters Froggie meets. And so did our Minnesota woods!

Continuous Support

Coffee, black and strong, is my secret weapon. It powers me through late nights of pixel-perfect tweaking and endless “just one more edit” moments.

Minnesota Based

I do NOT like snakes. Indiana Jones and I agree on this one! Most snakes in Minnesota are harmless and actually very helpful for controlling pests. Soooo I decided they could be in the story.

Silliness is Soul

Every Christmas, I get to dress up and play an elf at my company’s non-profit event. I love imagination and needed to bring some of this silliness into my story.

When in Doubt, Hope

I believe in happy endings and always try to see the glass half full. Be open, be kind, and treat everyone with care.

Lake Life

I love adventures like skydiving and traveling, but I’m just as happy taking walks in the woods or pontooning on my lake.

Where I write

Anywhere and everywhere!
Inspiration is all around me, so I’m always writing down ideas.

While I was writing this book, you might have found me writing in some of these cozy places!

A fluffy white Golden Retriever lies contentedly on a green lawn in front of a lakeside patio with curved wicker furniture, purple flowering plants, and a person floating on an inflatable in the water beyond.

By the Lake

Mornings by the water are pure magic — where the stillness of the lake and the sounds of nature spark the best stories.

With my Books

Surrounded by shelves of beloved stories, this cozy corner is where imagination runs wild and new ideas take root.

A woman with dark hair in a ponytail, wearing a black top and coral pants, sits barefoot on a deck with a mug in hand at a glass-top patio table with a book and water bottle. A white Golden Retriever rests on the deck beneath the table, surrounded by lush green trees.

On the Deck

With fresh air, faithful companions, and the rustle of the trees, the deck is where Froggie's world truly comes alive.

Cartoon frog mid-leap against a black background, legs and webbed feet splayed wide with arms outstretched, big glossy eyes and a small smile, with motion lines above suggesting a quick, bouncy hop.

Any New Books?

I have a few new stories I’m working on in the background. As Froggie begins his adventure In the Woods, I already have ideas for where he might hop next. I can’t wait to share more of Froggie’s journeys someday but for now, I’m giving all my attention to this very first book and hoping you love Froggie as much as I do.

Got an idea on where Froggie should adventure next? Let me know!
